Oh! The Good Old Hockey Game, Is The Best Game You Can Name

Maybe I should have posted this video first instead of the NHL on Fox open. With this being NHL Opening Night, I should have thought of Stompin’ Tom Collins’ great ode to hockey. So here’s Tom singing The Hockey Song in front of a small gathering back in 1973. This brings a tear to my eye. The Good Old Hockey Game, is The Best Game You Can Name. And The Best Game You Can Name, is The Good Old Hockey Game. Yes it is.

I’ve already commissioned two blimps to fly over my house. I think I need three more.

It’s NHL Opening Day!

I promised I would never post this 1995 NHL on Fox open again, but I can’t help it. It’s Opening Night for the NHL, the Bruins will raise their 2010-11 Championship banner to the rafters of TD Garden and I have the same giddy feeling that I do for MLB Opening Day. NHL Opening Night should be an international holiday as it’s being conducted in both Canada and the US. So Fang’s Bites is doing fine, it’s hockey time.

Yes, it’s the Stanley Cup Playoffs open on Fox. And Fox is doing fine, it’s Cup time. Sorry, I had to bring it back one more time. I promise this is the last time I’ll post this.

This night is so big, I think I’ll need the Conan blimp, the Goodyear blimp and both MetLife blimps to fly over my house.
