Echoes of Time DSi Design Revealed

Japan gets a special DSi system while we're still waiting for the normal one!

Square Enix gave Japan its first look at the limited edition DSi that will accompany the Japanese release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Echoes of Time.

In case you don't keep up with the Japanese scene, across the pond, Square Enix will be releasing the DS version of Echoes of Time both in solo form and as part of a DSi bundle. The DSi bundle, selling for 23,940 yen, will include a copy of the game and a special DSi unit.

Today, the company made public the design of the system. As you can see in the shot below, the design is based off the DSi's white model and includes the game's cat logo to the left and the game's name written around the camera.

There's no word yet on if we'll be getting this special DSi unit in our part of the world... but, then again, we'd settle for a final release date for the DSi or Echoes of Time first.

In Japan, both the solo and bundle versions of Echoes of Time will hit on January 29. The Wii version will also be released on that day.
