The newly appointed Prime Minister of Transitional National Government of Somalia Mr. Mohomad Abdi Yusuf, the 4th Prime Minister to be appointed by Abdulkassim in nearly over three years, has completed yesterday in Mogadishu, the formation of his cabinet .

Mr. Mohamed A.Yusuf has nominated 37 ministers who are due to be sworn in on today, Wednesday 31st December 2003. The TNG Government headed by Abdulkassim Salad Hassan is bankrupt, its mandate finished and is not even in a position to assert its influence beyond the walls of Abdikassim's house .

The transitional parliament of Somalia is yet to ratify the new government but no date has yet been fixed for the ratification. Some of the appointed ministers were members of the former TNG authorities led by Hassan Abshir Farah and Ali Khalif Galeyr.

The above mentioned two former prime ministers were sacked in a presidential decree after they were involved in a dispute with TNG leader Abdikasim Salad Hassan. Mr. Osman Jama Ali who held briefly the Office of the Prime Minister resigned last November .
