Pilot Project:
This project primarily aims to document the Konkani language spoken by the GSB community in and around Mangalore, Karnataka, India. To start off, an online GSB konkani dictionary has been introduced, which is mainly dependent on users contributions. The aim is to have a data repository of 10,000 konkani words by the end of 2007. The Devanagari script will be used for this project. For ease of use ITRANS format is being supported. In the future other languages apart from Konkani that need documentation will be supported too.
