One of the five LST which constructed by Elefsis Shipyard. These ships have been designed in Greece in a cooperation between Metsobio Institute of Technology and Elefsis Shipyard. Launched at 29th September 1987 and handed over to Hellenic Navy at 20th May 1994, with first Commanding Officer CDR M. KAPSALA HN.

LANDING CRAFTS AIR- CASHION 
The Air-Cushion Landing Craft's (ACLC) type KEFALLINIA (Russian name ZUBR - Nato' name POMORNIK) are today the biggest in size hovercrafts in the world and they constitute the fourth generation of hovercraft ships. In the H.N. they have included four ships of this type.
