Shelter Reservations
Shelter reservations are available. Each day is divided into two sessions:

    1. 7:00 am - 4:00
    2. 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm.


The cost for the shelter reservations is $15 per session and $30 for all day (both sessions). Reservations can be made at the Maintenance Services office 1200 13th Ave, East Moline IL 309-752-1573.   Reservations for Millennium Park must be made through the City of Moline Parks at 736-5714.

Officer Park

 

Butterworth Park
Located on 23rd Ave. near Soule Bowl stadium, is a 22-acre park with every available amenity. The two large shelters have many tables for parties and picnics and have nearby grills and electricity. The park also features several swing sets, a large tornado slide, merry-go-round, teeter totters and new jungle gym equipment. The park is also complemented with several basketball courts and a restroom building. Butterworth is a secluded scenic park filled with ancient oaks, flowers, and a large lagoon.

Empire Park
Located at the East Moline/Hampton border on IL Rt. 84 (19th St. EM). One of East Moline’s newest and most popular parks, Empire is a giant wooden jungle gym that will amuse children for hours. The park features three large picnic pavilions with working electricity and nearby grills. Access to the East Moline and Hampton bike path, restrooms and rolle bolle courts complement this large park.

The East Moline Boat Launch is located next to Empire Park and is popular among private boaters and jet-skiers in the Quad-Cities. The boat launch is also attached to the East Moline and Hampton bike path that extends all the way to Rapids City.

Hereford Park
Located west of 13th St. at 4th Ave. Hereford sits on over 5 acres of land and has two large shelters and restroom building.

The park has baseball diamond, grills, permanent picnic tables and lots of playground equipment.

Millennium Park
Millennium Park is the city’s newest park located at the East Moline/Moline border west of East Moline’s Archer Drive on Moline’s 34th Ave. Built in 2000 in cooperation with Moline, the park is a modern marvel with a giant wooden jungle gym, restroom facilities, drinking fountains, and a large pavilion for gatherings. (Reservations for Millennium Park must be made through the City of Moline Parks at 736-5714.)

Mitchell Park
Located on the corner of 30th Ave. and 4th St with the adjacent Mitchell Tot Lot. The park features 3 tennis courts, a large basketball area, baseball diamond and has large open spaces for other sport activities. A large pavilion, a restroom building and lots of playground equipment make Mitchell Park and the Tot lot popular among East Moline park-goers.

Northeast Park Sports Complex
Located one mile east of the intersection of 19th St. (Rt. 84) and 3rd Ave and is the home of East Moline-Silvis Soccer Club, East Moline Youth Baseball, and adult recreational softball leagues. At 157 acres, Northeast is the city’s largest park. The park has 8 baseball diamonds, 7 soccer fields, 3 shelters, 3 concession stands, drinking fountains and a playground area.

Radden Park

Located on the corner of Seventh Street and 23rd Avenue, Radden Park features a baseball diamond with backstop and a large open area for football or Frisbee.  The playground equipment and a new shelter / rest room building make Radden a popular park. 

 Watertown Memorial Park

   

Located at the southwest corner of 8th Ave. and 17th Street is a ¾-acre park with newly installed modular playground equipment.  This park was upgraded by the City with volunteered labor from the area neighbors and members of the United Way Organization.  Funding for the upgrade was provided by donations from Carver Charitable Trust, the Watertown Watch Group and Park Capital Improvement funds.

Wiman Park
Located in a residential neighborhood, south of Forest Road at the end of 6th Street. Like Butterworth Park, Wiman features a large lagoon for fishing and picnicking. This secluded park has scattered picnic tables, a large pavilion, and a new jungle gym. Two tennis courts and basketball areas complement this 19-acre park. Lots of playground equipment, beautiful shade trees, restroom building and playground equipment make Wiman a great choice for lunch or for group gatherings.

Bike Path
The Great River Trail, a scenic bike route over 60 miles of majestic Mississippi riverfront, also winds through East Moline. The ride moves through Rock Island, Moline, East Moline, Hampton, Rapids City, Cordova and continues until just South of Savannah. The East Moline section of the trail covers 3 miles and cuts through McNeal’s Wilderness Preserve and the Empire Park playground area.

Cottage Grove Baseball Diamond
Located on Fifth Avenue east of Seventh Street, Cottage Grove Baseball Diamond provides one diamond with a backstop, swing set and a small shelter.

Cottage Grove Tot Lot
Located west of 7th St. on 3rd Ave. This secluded park boasts swing sets, teeter-totters, rodeo rockers, a jack & jill and a slide.

Fire Station Tot Lot
Located beside the fire station on 42nd Ave. and 9th St. This park has a picnic table, swing sets, jack & jill, teeter totters and other equipment. This park is close to uptown fast-food restaurants and is a great lunch spot.

Garfield Tot Lot
At the corner of 18th St. and 14th Ave. is a small park with a picnic table, shelter, basketball hoop, teeter totters, merry-go-round, rodeo rockers and a slide.

Lincoln Tot Lot
Located on the corner of 4th Street and 17th Ave. west of the IH Credit Union. This ½-acre park has a variety of playground equipment, a picnic table, and drinking fountain.

Officer Park
Located at the 2300 block of 8th Ave. This smaller park has lots of equipment including swing sets, rodeo rockers, and basketball court. Sitting on 4 acres, the park offers lots of space for football or soccer.
