n April 7, Timothy Thomas was shot and killed by Cincinnati police. His
death ignited a week of destruction and fear as the worst rioting Cincinnati
has seen in 30 years erupted near the heart of the city. In the wake of this
violence, city leaders and residents alike are searching for solutions, for
peace, for a way to quiet the unrest in the city.

Cincinnati's Call to Change
The policeman's shot that killed Timothy Thomas shattered the peace of the
entire city. It reverberated along the nerve endings of deeply felt
animosities and frustrations. Most of all, that shot sounded a wake-up alarm
that warned it is time for Cincinnati to change.
