NISSAN ALMERA SEDAN
The assembly of Nissan vehicles began in South
Africa in 1959, with production launched by Rosslyn Motor Assemblers in 1963. In 1973 the company adopted
the name Datsun Nissan South Africa Ltd., and in 1983 - Nissan South Africa Ltd. The
production of the Almera sedan, available with 1.6-liter 110 hp or 1.8-liter 120 hp engines, began
in June 2001.

the 1400 Bakkie Champ/1400
Bakkie Standard pick-up (1.4-liter 64 hp) is based on the Sunny of the 1960s, and the Hardbody 4x2/4x4 pick-up (2.0-liter 125
hp; 2.4-liter 150 hp; 3.3-liter 170 hp; D 2.7-liter 87 hp; TD 3.0-liter 143 hp) manufactured
since 1999
is
identical to the current Nissan Pickup D22. Plans for the future: 2005 - Micra III.
