Zeena Schreck

Zeena Schreck (b. 1963, San Francisco) is a Berlin-based interdisciplinary artist and counter-culture icon known through her work as photographer, graphic artist, musician/composer, writer, animal rights activist and mystic. Her work stems from her experience within the esoteric, shamanistic and magical traditions of which she's practiced and taught. She is a practicing Tibetan Buddhist yogini, teaches at the Buddhistische Gesellschaft Berlin and is the spiritual leader of the Sethian Liberation Movement (SLM).

Zeena's life’s work of building an authentic left-hand path mystical tradition in the West was presented through her influential book Demons of the Flesh: The Complete Guide to Left Hand Path Sex Magic, co-authored with Nikolas Schreck. Between 1988-1993 Zeena was composer, vocalist, musician and graphic designer for the sonic magical musical project Radio Werewolf. Her most recent musical release is the 2012 The Vinyl Solution-Analog Artifacts: Ritual Instrumentals and Undercover Versions

Her most recent graphic-art project, “God Bless Charles Manson” is published in The Manson File: Myth and Reality of an Outlaw Shaman.

Zeena writes a column for VICE Magazine; is a contributor to the Beat-oriented periodical Beatdom and is currently working on several music and film projects.
