Five Women Who Can Make Me Stop Flipping The Remote — 2011

by , under Erin Sharoni, Hot Chicks, Hot Chicks in Sports Broadcasting, Jaime Maggio, Jen Royle, Maggie Q, Tina Cervasio

Time to bring the annual Hot Chicks Post back again. The original post in 2007 had what can be considered a Mount Rushmore of Women on TV. In 2008, we had another strong list featuring Fang’s Bites fave Charissa Thompson and Heidi Watney. The 2009 list had Olivia Munn, Trenni Kusnierek and NFL Network’s Lindsay Soto. And last year had Trenni, Michelle Beadle and Kate Walsh.

This year, we have a new list. I like the women we have for 2011.

5. Jaime Maggio — CBS/Turner Sports

Had her coming out party during the NCAA Tournament this year on CBS and Turner Sports. She’s also working for Turner in the League Division Series. We certainly welcome more national assignments for Jaime. She’s currently working full-time with KCAL-TV in Los Angeles. Does a great job reporting on the sidelines and would love to see Jaime more in 2012.

4. Erin Sharoni — CNBC SportsBiz: Game On!

In just four shows of the new series hosted by Darren Rovell, Erin hits this list. Previously a sideline reporter for St. John’s basketball on RedStormSports.com, Erin has made quite the impression on viewers to NBC’s new sports business show on Versus. I’m quite impressed with her on-air style and her rapport with Darren. I was told that Darren wanted to get someone new and fresh for his show and he certainly did that. I predict big things for Erin down the road.

3. Jen Royle — 105.7 The Fan, Baltimore

Ok, technically Jen is not on TV right now, but she was earlier this year on MASN. She left the regional sports network before this baseball season, so in the range from last year to this year’s list, she qualifies as having been on TV. As she hosted an Orioles pregame show on 105.7 FM The Fan this season and is currently covering the Ravens, Jen is also a candidate to return to her native Boston possibly on NESN and perhaps one of the sports radio stations. New England would certainly welcome her back with open arms. And if NESN wants to bring her in to possibly replace Heidi Watney on Red Sox broadcasts (more on that in another post down the road), that would be welcomed too!

2. Tina Cervasio, MSG Network

Tina returns to the list after being on the original list in 2007. After leaving NESN in 2008, she joined MSG Network where she’s the reporter for both the Knicks of the NBA and the Red Bulls of MLS. Tina is also doing work for CBSSports.com on college football. Tina has been anchoring sports at WNYW-TV and sister station, WWOR-TV. I’ve heard rumors that Tina is about to get another gig. I don’t know where it is, but if it’s national, it’s well deserved. And Tina is lovelier than ever having seen her at Blogs with Balls 4 this year.

And here’s a pic of our #2 and #3 picks together. This comes courtesy of Jen so I thank her for giving me permission to post this.

Very lovely pic of Jen and Tina together.

1. Maggie Q — Nikita

Last year, we had our first Asian representation with Betty Nguyen of CBS News. This year, it’s Maggie Q of The CW’s Nikita. Trained in Hong Kong by Jackie Chan to become an action star, Q had a rather meteoric rise and now is the star of her own series. Not only is Maggie gorgeous, but she can also kick your ass. I respect that. In addition, she’s a strict vegetarian and a member of PETA. I’m glad in the 5th edition of this list that an Asian sister is finally number one.

And that will conclude the list for this year. Back again next year.

Five Women Who Can Make Me Stop Flipping The Remote – 2010

by , under CBS News, Hot Chicks, Hot Chicks in Sports Broadcasting, Kate Walsh, Mad Men, Michelle Beadle, MLB Network, Trenni Kusnierek

Ok, while I’m away at a wedding today, I give you my annual post of The Five Women Who Can Make Me Stop Flipping The Remote. Usually, I’ll try to make each year’s edition different. And since the weekend is near, why not give you a post that doesn’t make you think too much. Of course, you’ll jump on me because you think I missed someone or you’ll think someone doesn’t deserve to be on the list. That’s ok. You’re entitled to disagree.

Last year’s list included three women in sports and two in entertainment.

In 2008, Fang’s Bites faves, Trenni Kusnierek, Heidi Watney and Charissa Thompson made the list.

And the inaugural list in 2007 had Stacey Dales, Tina Cervasio and Erin Andrews.

Let’s see who made the list this year and if there are any holdovers. In each of the previous lists, you can see I have a very good eye and I think this year’s list is very good too.

5. Michelle Beadle – ESPN

I hate SportsNation, but only because of that untalented ESPN Radio hack Colin Cowherd. When I’m flipping the remote in the 4 p.m. ET hour and I see Michelle Beadle on ESPN2, I immediately stop and watch the show. Then when Colin Cowherd comes back on camera, I change the channel. That is the perfect definition of a woman who can make me stop flipping the remote. ESPN has some high hopes for Michelle and expect to see her on other programs down the road. Let’s hope so.

4. Christina Hendricks – Mad Men

I need to get some Mad Men representation on the list and who better to represent than Christina Hendricks? I could have chosen January Jones as well, but then the list would be blond-heavy. Not that I have anything against blonds, but we move on. Whenever Christina is a scene, she lights up the TV. Her character, Joan, is one of the best on television and my TV is already on Mad Men, but the remote cannot be flipped when when she’s on.

3. Betty Nguyen – CBS News

Courtesy: Asiance Magazine

I’m also glad to get some Asian representation on the list. Betty was at CNN from 2004 until early this year, anchoring weekend coverage when she moved to CBS becoming a contributor and occasional host of The Early Show. When she was at CNN, my weekends would always start with her. Now, the remote goes to CBS where does the news on the Saturday Early Show. An excellent correspondent, she’s covered many stories including the Haiti earthquake, the death of Pope John Paul and Hurricane Katrina. Betty is also the co-founder of Help the Hungry, an organization that helps the poverty-striken.

2. Trenni Kusnierek – MLB Network

Courtesy: Trenni Kusnierek

The only holdover from last year and now the first person to be on the list three times and consecutively at that! Trenni does a tremendous job at MLB Network. She’s now in pennant race mode as she’s starting to criss-cross the country reporting from game sites for MLB Tonight. When I put her on the list in 2008, she was working for Fox Sports Wisconsin as the sideline reporter for Milwaukee Brewers games and free lancing for Big Ten Network. Right after she made the list, she worked for TBS Hot Corner for the MLB postseason and got the gig at MLB Network. I’m not taking credit, but as I mentioned at the beginning of the post, I do have a very good eye.

1. Kate Walsh – Private Practice

Courtesy: Brian Bowen Smith

I love Kate Walsh. I admit, I watched Grey’s Anatomy and just happened to start when Kate Walsh’s character, Addison, joined the show. I stopped watching when Addison was spun off to Private Practice and went with her to the spinoff. I really can’t find the words to write. She’s gorgeous. Kate’s a very good actress and I love watching her in every scene. Kate Walsh tops our list this year.

Five Women Who Can Make Me Stop Flipping The Remote – 2009

by , under Amber Theoharis, Bridget Regan, G4, Hot Chicks, Hot Chicks in Sports Broadcasting, Legend of the Seeker, Lindsay Soto, MASN, MLB Network, Olivia Munn, Trenni Kusnierek

It’s time for the 2009 edition of The Five Women Who Can Make Me Stop Flipping The Remote. It’s an annual tradition here at Fang’s Bites and one which I take time from providing the links to providing the list. No gratuitous photos, but I will provide a few pics where I can find them.

The 2007 List:
1. Giada De Laurentiis – Food Network
2. Erin Andrews – ESPN
3. Tina Cervasio – then at NESN, now at MSG Network
4. Nigella Lawson – Food Network
5. Stacey Dales – then at ESPN, now at NFL Network

The 2008 List:
1. Charissa Thompson – Big Ten Network/Fox Sports and now, Versus
2. Heidi Watney – NESN
3. Robin Meade – Headline News
4. Aida Mollenkamp – Food Network
5. Trenni Kusnierek – then Fox Sports Wisconsin, now MLB Network

If you notice, my lists are pretty good and some of the women have moved to better jobs. There’s no correlation to my list and their moves, but you notice I have a very good eye. Let’s move to this year’s list.

5. Lindsay Soto – Fox Sports West/Versus/NFL Network

Lindsay’s been getting some national attention thanks to her work during the 2008 Olympics for NBC, plus sideline reporting for the NHL on Versus. Lindsay got notice in Southern California for her work at Fox Sports West. She’s also getting work at NFL Network as both a fill-in host and reporter. It’s welcomed on this end. Here’s hoping Lindsay gets some more national exposure.

4. Olivia Munn – G4

The co-host of Attack of the Show on G4, she’s the subject of geeks’ and gamers’ fantasies since joining the Comcast-owned network in 2006. In addition, she’s done her share of modeling and acting. And lately, she’s been doing the talk show circuit promoting what I have no idea. Doesn’t matter. I love watching Olivia and she’s always Tweeting away.

3. Amber Theoharis – MASN

Whether she’s on the sidelines for Orioles games or does work for MASN’s Ravens postgame broadcasts, Amber is a very solid broadcaster. I saw her for the first time in 2007 and I was going to lobby my friends at the then-790 The Score to bring her to Providence to work, but alas, the Score fell by the wayside. She can talk sports with the best of them and here’s hoping she can get some national work over the next 12 months.

2. Trenni Kusnierek – MLB Network

The only holdover from last year, Trenni jokingly complained to me during the weekend that she was left out of the MLB TV Awards. Well, I do pledge that I’ll try to fit her in next year, but she does move up from 5th place to 2nd in this year’s list. Trenni did a tremendous job in hopscotching across the country for the new MLB Network. One day she would be in Anaheim, the next, Milwaukee, and then flying back to New York at a moment’s notice. She was all over the place and Trenni handled it extremely well. In addition, the Milwaukee Brewers fans constantly lament about her departure from Fox Sports Wisconsin. Milwaukee’s loss is the nation’s gain and I’m not talking Red Sox Nation here.

1. Bridget ReganLegend of the Seeker

(courtesy ABC Studios)

Yeah, I became enamored with Bridget last year after watching a free preview of very first episode of the syndicated Legend of the Seeker series on iTunes. If you’re a regular visitor to Fang’s Bites, you’ll know that the show has been a regular recommendation in my Weekend Viewing Picks. And I’ll plug the fact that show returns this weekend for a 2 hour season premiere! Bridget did a great job in the show acting as Kahlan Amnell the Confessor in the series based on Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth books. Bridget just has this look that makes you want to watch her and I do every week.

And that is the list for 2009.

Erin Andrews Wearing Her Version of the Liz Hurley Dress

by , under Erin Andrews, Hot Chicks, Hot Chicks in Sports Broadcasting

This comes courtesy of Jimmy Traina at Sports Illustrated’s Hot Clicks. This is just amazing.

Compare it to what Liz Hurley wore to the premiere of “Four Weddings and a Funeral” in 1994.

Give it to Erin for wearing her dress. She pulled it off. If she wore something similar to Liz, I’m sure she would look good as well. Wow. That brightens my morning.

Five Women Who Can Make Me Stop Flipping The Remote – 2008

by , under Aida Mollenkamp, Charissa Thompson, Erin Andrews, Giada De Laurentiis, Heidi Watney, Hot Chicks in Sports Broadcasting, Nigella Lawson, Robin Meade, Stacey Dales, Tina Cervasio, Trenni Kusnierek

Last year, I had an entry, Five Women Who Can Make Me Stop Flipping The Remote. Every once in a while, I notice people doing a Google search for the women on that list will stop on that page and look at what I came up with. If you don’t want to click on the link above, the list from last year is as follows:

1. Giada De Laurentiis – Food Network
2. Erin Andrews – ESPN
3. Tina Cervasio – formerly of NESN, now of MSG Network
4. Nigella Lawson – Food Network
5. Stacey Dales – ESPN/ABC

A very strong list. But I figured it was time to revise the list after watching some college football and the Food Network today. It’s a completely new list so there are no carryovers from last year. As I did in 2007, I go in reverse order.

5. Trenni Kusnierek – FSN Wisconsin

Trenni is looking like she’s smirking here. I don’t know the circumstances behind the pic, but it’s what I could find because she’s not listed at the FSN Wisconsin website. She’s the sideline reporter for the Milwaukee Brewers games and also does freelance work for the Big Ten Network. Her work is quite strong and she’s well liked by BTN to possibly do some work during college basketball season. We certainly hope we see more of her.

4. Aida Mollenkamp – Food Network

Who can resist that smile? The host of Ask Aida on Food Network answers questions on recipes, ingredients, food, you name it. Get rid of her tool tech guru on the show and it would be perfect. The show is great to watch and she can certainly whip up Pasta Bolognese in no time. And I’m getting hooked on the show every Saturday. And it’s just before Everyday Italian with last year’s number one Woman Who Can Make Me Stop Flipping The Remote, Giada!

3. Robin Meade – CNN Headline News

Host of Morning Express with Robin Meade, mornings on CNN Headline News, this is the show I turn on every morning before I go to work. She just doesn’t make me stop the remote, she’s the first face I see as I get ready to leave my house. And it’s not a bad thing at all. The news is presented very well on Morning Express and whenever Robin is on vacation or is on assignment, the very capable Christi Paul substitutes for her so the show doesn’t miss a beat. In my opinion, Morning Express is the best morning news program on TV.

2. Heidi Watney – NESN

Sideline reporter on NESN for Red Sox games, Heidi replaced the lovely Tina Cervasio this year after the Jersey girl decided to return home. While Heidi hasn’t made Red Sox Nation forget about Tina yet, she is very lovely and when she’s on with Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe on the NESN multi-sponsored pregame show, ratings for their segment go up (ok, I have nothing to base this on, I’m just saying). There are rumors that NESN will cut her loose after this season, but I certainly hope she’s given at least another year.

1. Charissa Thompson – Big Ten Network/Fox Sports/FSN

I keep using this picture for Charissa, we really need a new one, but that’s ok, it will suffice. Charissa’s star is rising at Fox. Last year, she hosted the FSN Baseball Report and did the sidelines for the Big Ten Network. I still maintain that Fang’s Bites was one of the first blogs to sing her praises before she began to get notices. And this year, Fox made her as one of the hosts on Best Damn Sports Show Period and added NFL sideline duties to her resume. She’s getting more notice and for good reason, being compared to Erin Andrews. I’ll be honest, I think she’s better than Erin and I feel that by the end of next year, she’ll surpass Erin in popularity. You heard it here first.

And that’s the list for this year.

As I hunt down a decent computer to work on, I give you your links today.

Newsday’s Neil Best notes that SNY’s Keith Hernandez sat behind home plate for Tuesday’s game adding another wrinkle for the network. And Neil breaks news about one of the corporate sponsors for the new Jets/Giants stadium in New Jersey.

CNBC’s Darren Rovell looks forward to the National Spelling Bee.

Awful Announcing has the ESPN announcers for the Euro 2008 soccer tournament which begins next month.

Via the Big Lead, Tony Barnhart of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution writes that the SEC has to decide now whether to bring its games in-house or to keep its current TV model of syndicating games through Raycom.

Chris Togneri of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review says former sports radio talk show host Mark Madden is keeping mum about his removal by ESPN for comments made last week about Senator Ted Kennedy. Leonard Shapiro of the Washington Post opines that ESPN made the right move, but it should have been done sooner.

The Los Angeles Daily News’ Tom Hoffarth says a local sports radio station is reuniting a long time pair.

Ray Frager of the Baltimore Sun says MASN’s Amber Theoharis really had to earn her keep last night.

Multichannel News says Tennis Channel will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the home of the French Open with a documentary that premieres today. Sergio Ibarra of TV Week says Dish Network viewers will get an interactive look at the French Open, something us DirecTV viewers have had since last year.

From Brent Hunsberger’s Playbook and Profits blog in the Oregonian, he writes that sales of athletic shoes slowed in 2007.

That’s going to do it for now. It appears that I will be at a jobsite tomorrow so I may not be able to do the Friday megalinks. I just wanted to let you know.

Quickie Observations

by , under ACC, DirecTV, Hot Chicks in Sports Broadcasting, Indiana Jones, NESN

Because I was having computer problems, I spent some time channel flipping looking for stuff to watch over the weekend. Here are a few observations.

First, I saw Fang’s Bites fav Heather Catlin doing the sidelines for the ACC Baseball Tournament in Jacksonville, FL. Nice to see her again. Looking good as always, Heather. And she was quite smooth during the times I saw her.

Second, NESN cut off the UNC-Florida State game on Saturday to go to its Red Sox pregame show. The game went into extra innings, but NESN cut it off to go to its pregame. Luckily, I could go to SportSouth to watch the rest of the game, but for those viewers who did not have the DirecTV Sports tier, it was a disservice.

Third, I went to see the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I liked it. Very good to watch and quite entertaining. Having seen the previous three, it’s a familiar formula and done quite well. Could we have a fifth movie with Indy in a rocking chair? If George Lucas feels it could make money, it could surely happen.

Finally, could Lowe’s be a little less confusing?

Some More Super Bowl-related Links And A Few Other Things As Well

by , under Chris Berman, College Basketball, Dick Vitale, DirecTV, ESPN, Fox Sports, Hot Chicks in Sports Broadcasting, MSG Network, NBC Sports, NFL, Super Bowl, TV Ratings

Well, as we now wrap up the first full day of the New York Giants as Super Bowl Champions, let us put a wrap on Super Bowl stuff.

First, Pete Dougherty of the Albany Times Union says MSG Network is going to carry the New York Giants victory parade through the Canyon of Heroes on Tuesday.

Newsday’s Neil Best unveils the logo for Super Bowl XLIII that will air on NBC on February 1, 2009. Jon Lafayette of TV Week says the logo will be officially unveiled during American Gladiators.

Darren Rovell of CNBC has the financial winners of Super Bowl XLII and you can bet the 1972 Miami Dolphins are included. Also from CNBC, Phil LeBeau, who follows the automotive industry, says Audi’s Super Bowl ad (the one that spoofed “The Godfather”) stood out while Hyundai’s did not.

From Mediaweek, John Consoli says Fox scored the most viewed Super Bowl ever. Some late breaking news from Mediaweek, Giants QB Eli Manning will appear on the Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday instead of tonight.

Scott Greczkowski of Multichannel News says DirecTV customers were pleasantly surprised to see that Fox 5 New York’s HD Feed of the Super Bowl was available to most subscribers.

Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times says the NFL has won the advertising battle once again.

Moving to other subjects now, ESPN has announced its matchups for BracketBusters weekend later this month.

Ryan White of The Oregonian is happy to see the return of Dick Vitale this Wednesday.

Heading back to Pete Dougherty of the Albany Times Union, he has the NHL flex game on NBC for February 17.

Justin Terranova of the New York Post blogs that YES has officially announced the hiring of David Cone as a studio analyst.

Louis Hau of Forbes Magazine writes that NBC’s John Madden tops its list of Most Influential Sports Broadcasters, just edging out ESPN’s Chris Berman for the top spot. Here’s the Forbes slideshow on the subject.

Last week, I gave you a pic of New York radio traffic reporter Christina Stoffo. We have another pic and link to the second part of her interview with SoHood.com.

By the way, I’ve updated my Blogroll to the right so visit the sites when you can. Today, I’ve added CNBC’s Darren Rovell. I link to the man so often that having him up on the Blogroll is way overdue. And I’ve also added Brent Hunsberger’s Playbooks and Profits sports business blog from The Oregonian site. Both cover sports business quite well and click on the links to head to their respective sites.

I’ll have one more Super Bowl-related post and that should do it for tonight.

She’s the one asking marriage of Tom Brady and Eli Manning. If you’ve never seen her, you’ll definitely want to see her again after looking at this pic.

And here she is in various situations for her network and talking to Peyton Manning.

Five Women Who Can Make Me Stop Flipping the Remote

by , under Erin Andrews, Giada De Laurentiis, Hot Chicks in Sports Broadcasting, Nigella Lawson, Stacey Dales, Tina Cervasio

I haven’t done a Hot Chick entry in a while. I figured it was time. Starting at 5 and going down to #1

5. Stacey Dales – ESPN

Doing the sidelines this season on college football broadcasts on ESPN along with her work on the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, Stacey is a joy to watch. Not only does she look great, she can talk zone defenses, man-to-man, moving picks and traveling violations with the best analysts out there. She can describe a defensive rotation to me any day.

4. Nigella Lawson – Food Network

Nigella Bites is one of the best cooking shows, bar none. Every time her show is on, I have to stop and watch. I could be doing the most important thing for work or myself, but it will have to wait until the segment or the episode itself is over.

Plus, when she licks the spatula or puts her finger in her mouth to taste one of her concoctions, it’s like sex with food. I’m not kidding.

3. The extremely lovely Tina Cervasio – NESN

Her work on the sidelines for the past two seasons on Red Sox broadcasts has been nothing short of excellent. Her features have been very good, plus she has been getting information from Manny Ramirez that other reporters have not. The pictures posted below come from her website.

There hasn’t been a day where she doesn’t look good. As a subscriber to DirecTV, I can remember her work from the early days of NFL Sunday Ticket and as an update anchor on WFAN. She’s come a long way and I wouldn’t be surprised if she gets a network gig down the road.

2. Erin Andrews – ESPN

What list would be complete without Erin Andrews? I do think Tina is way better as far as reporting goes. Erin is hot, no doubt about it.

1. Giada DeLaurentiis – Food Network

Everyday Italian is one of those shows you just stop, watch and wait for Giada to make one of her classic expressions when she tastes food. Her smile is infectious. She’s gorgeous. Plus, when she spreads chocolate on a Biscotti, it’s like watching an artist at work. And of course, there’s Giada’s Weekend Getaways where we get to watch her ride a jet-ski or swim in a pool. I can go on, but let’s get to some pics.

That’s it for now.

Sunday Links or Day 7 of the D & C Lockout

by , under Big Ten Network, Boomer Esiason, CBS Sports, ESPN, Fox Sports, FSN, Hot Chicks in Sports Broadcasting, NFL Network, Olympics, The Golf Channel, WFAN

We’ll probably find out tomorrow regarding the Dennis & Callahan lockout from WEEI. With their hopes of a competing regional network dashed, I’m thinking D & C are probably going to re-sign with Entercom. Stay tuned.

Let’s get to some links for you.

Jim Williams of the DC/Baltimore Examiner in his Watch This! blog has a preview of tonight’s action. And he also calls the NASCAR Hot Pass feature on DirecTV one of the best innovations in sports television.

In the Dallas Morning News, Barry Horn says Fox’s Daryl Johnston may do NFL games, but he isn’t afraid to speak out about disability payouts to former players.

Dan Caesar of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch goes over the Big Ten Network-cable dispute. And Caesar goes over Tim McKernan’s decision to stay in St. Louis to do radio over going to New York to work for SNY as an anchor.

Jerry Garcia of the San Antonio Express-News looks at the changes this season in the Fox NFL Sunday pre-game show.

Phil Mushnick of the New York Post has his usual Sunday column right off the bat, he trashes ESPN for its self-promotion during the Little League World Series, even down to the graphics it shows during at-bats.

Over to the New York Daily News where Bob Raissman writes that there will be on pressure on Boomer Esiason not to become a clone of Don Imus when he and Craig Carlton start their morning show on WFAN in September.

Bill Robinson in the Marietta (OH) Times says local cable company, Suddenlink, is among the cable companies that have not signed with the Big Ten Network.

Bryan Curtis of the New York Times’ Play magazine looks at the phenomenon of ogling at female sideline reporters. Also in Play, Charles McGrath talks to Nick Faldo of CBS and the Golf Channel.

Jonathan Landreth of the Hollywood Reporter looks at the task of bringing the Olympics in Beijing to reality, not only for China, but for the networks that will cover the games.

In the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Ray Buck talks to Eddie George who will try to show the positive side of sports in a new program premiering on FSN.

Mike Reynolds of Multichannel News reports that the NFL Network is seeing an increase in subscribers, albeit a small increase, but the NFL Network will take what it can get at this point.

Bob Wolfey of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that his city has a higher percentage of households that don’t get cable or satellite TV as compared to the national average. Interesting.

Not bad for links on a Sunday. I’ll be back later with Videos of the Week.

Other Nominees for Hot Chicks Who Are or No Longer Are in Sports Broadcasting

by , under Hot Chicks in Sports Broadcasting, Stacey Dales, Thea Andrews

Here’s one who is not in Sports Broadcasting right now, Thea Andews who was on ESPN2′s Cold Pizza and ESPN Hollywood. She’s currently free-lancing for Entertainment Tonight. She did some work at the Triple Crown last year. Would like to see her there again.

One who’s in Sports Broadcasting, Stacey Dales who is mostly seen during the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament on ESPN, but she’s done other work for the network as well.

Both were nominated by others. Will certainly take your suggestions throughout the weekend.

Hot Chicks formerly in Sports Broadcasting, who should be back in Sports Broadcasting

by , under Carolyn Hughes, Hot Chicks in Sports Broadcasting, Jillian Barberie-Reynolds, Lisa Guerrero, Melissa Stark

I have too much free time today. Here’s a post for you, some hot chicks who have been on either on the sidelines or involved in sports TV. They aren’t now, but they should be.

Jilllian Barberie-Reynolds (she’s also pregnant-Grrrr!), Fox NFL Sunday Weather woman, she was only on for three weeks last season when the pre-game show went back to LA for just a brief period. With the show heading back to the studio this coming season, let’s hope Jillian will be back.

Next, Carolyn Hughes, formerly of Fox Sports Net West. She was a host for several studio shows on the RSN, but her affair with LA Dodger Derek Lowe while he was married to Trinka Lowe made the gossip pages and the sports blogosphere. I think she’s paid her penance. Let’s bring her back.

She may have done a horrible job on Monday Night Football, but Lisa Guerrero is definitely a hottie. She’s currently on Inside Edition, but should be back on the sidelines somewhere.

Melissa Stark used to work on Monday Night Football, but I believe she’s working part-time for the Today Show now.

If you have any additions for this list, let me know.

Odds and Ends

by , under Hazel Mae, Hot Chicks in Sports Broadcasting, Shana Hiatt, Shandi Finnessey
