As part of our continued work to fully migrate into COUNTER 5 (C5) code of practice, we will no longer be supporting COUNTER 4 (C4) data for Springer Nature Link and nature.com as of January 1, 2021. You will still be able to temporarily access C4 reports after January 1st, but the data will only be provided up until December 2020. This update does not apply to database reports, since we have yet to launch these reports in the C5 format.

The phasing out of C4 reports is a key part of our migration process, and we are also taking the necessary steps to ensure that you will still be able to efficiently analyze your usage. Following this update, our next steps would be to migrate C4 2016-2018 data and reports to C5 format. We predict this will be implemented sometime in the second quarter of 2021. We will continue to communicate any updates and new changes prior to their implementation. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us with any questions or reporting needs you may have.
