Heritage Home Group, the company that was formed from bankrupt Furniture Brands International’s assets, has named Richard Lozyniak its interim CEO.
Lozyniak will work with the company's board of directors to select a permanent CEO to replace Ira Glazer, who is leaving the company after serving as CEO of Heritage Home Group since its formation in 2013.
No reason was given for Glazer's departure in a press release. Company officials could not immediately be reached for comment on the reason.

Lozyniak, who also has joined Heritage Home Group's board of directors, previously served as CEO of three portfolio companies of KPS Capital Partners, LP, HHG’s controlling stockholder.
Raquel Vargas Palmer, board chairman for Heritage Home Group, said the board is pleased that Lozyniak will serve as interim CEO "following exceptional tenures with three other KPS portfolio companies."
"Rich brings a unique combination of leadership skills, a strong consumer and branded product experience and expertise across a variety of industries," Palmer said. "He is an expert at building organizations, driving a performance-based corporate culture and catalyzing change. He is the right leader to manage HHG while the board selects a new CEO in the coming months."
Palmer thanked Glazer for his contributions to HHG.
"Under his leadership, HHG has assembled a new management team of industry leaders, completely transformed the assets acquired from Furniture Brands and positioned the company for the next phase of growth, she said.
Heritage Home Group is adding 300 employees who will eventually be based at its 100,000-square-foot headquarters facility at 1925 Eastchester Drive. The company is operating from a temporary facility in Thomasville as Kirkland Inc. of High Point completes $2.7 million in construction work at the Eastchester Drive facility. The work is slated for completion by September.
Lozyniak said the company is "undertaking bold and exciting steps to restore its rightful place as an industry leader."
