    Curious little cartoon.

I saw this little cartoon film as an extra on a DVD of Buster Keaton's Three Ages, although why exactly it was included - other than the caveman theme - escapes me. It was shown without any musical accompaniment, meaning that the experience was completely silent, which didn't really help the film much.

The film is made in the same silhouette style as the films of Lotte Reiniger although with more detail and movement of the characters. The movement and expressions of the characters - both human and animal - are quite imaginatively drawn, but the story itself doesn't really make a lot of sense. Worth a look as a curiosity as it isn't without a certain charm, but nothing particularly special.
