Pedalling with purpose. ð´âï¸ The JET cycling team has completed the seventh annual charity bike ride, a 100+ mile journey from our London office to Bristol, all in support of our incredible charity partner FoodCycle. From sidewalks to doorsteps, delivery just got smarter.ð¤ Weâve launched a new pilot in Zurich with Swiss robotics company RIVR, making Just Eat Takeaway.com the first on-demand delivery service in Europe to test wheeled-legged ground robots powered by Physical AI. Their first stop? Zekisworld in Oerlikon, serving up real customer orders as part of this exciting pilot. These innovative bots combine wheels for smooth travel with legs for climbing curbs and stairs, navigating rain, snow, grass and even tight corners with ease. Designed for safety and efficiency, they carry large orders in secure, insulated compartments and are monitored in real time during every delivery. The goal? To explore new ways of boosting operational efficiency and offering more delivery options, while giving our couriers extra support during peak times. With their electric design, theyâre environmentally friendly too: emitting no CO2 and using significantly less energy than traditional vehicles. This pilot is another step in our innovation journey, building on the launch of drone delivery in Ireland earlier this year. With more robotic pilots planned across Europe, including retail and convenience, weâre continuing to explore new ways to expand and strengthen our logistics network.
