Doing Sunday Links
Well, the blog is blowing up thanks to my latest edition of the Five Women Who Can Make Me Stop The Remote. CNBC’s Darren Rovell linked to the post as Erin Sharoni of his show “CNBC SportsBiz: Game On” is on the list. That’s as good as when Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated puts a link in his “Hot Clicks”. The site will be busy for the rest of the day and that’s a very good thing.
Let’s do some links on this NFL Sunday.
Tim Malloy of Reuters reports that NHL Network has been taken off AT&T U-Verse systems.
Bill Gorman at TV by the Numbers writes that CBS won the Saturday primetime ratings over ABC in a battle of college football games.
Timothy Burke at SportsGrid says a week after Fox apologized for making up newspaper headlines, TBS was apparently guilty of the same thing yesterday in its MLB Postseason coverage.

While the NHL National TV schedules were released, ESPN and the SEC quietly released the 2012 men’s conference basketball schedule. This includes games that will be aired on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3.com as well as the ESPN-owned SEC Network and games that will be produced by ESPN and aired on Fox Sports Net and CSS. It also includes the previously announced Super Tuesday schedule that was released last week.

ESPN’s SEC Men’s College Basketball Television Schedule
ESPN and the Southeastern Conference announced its 2012 men’s college basketball regular-season schedule for ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3.com and ESPN Regional Television produced games on the regionally syndicated SEC Network. ESPN, the exclusive national cable home and syndication rights-holder for the SEC, will offer 91 conference-controlled regular-season games across the platforms.
ESPN3.com will simulcast all SEC games televised on ESPN, ESPN2, SEC Network and regional syndication partners. Many games will also be available on ESPN FULL COURT, ESPN’s out-of-market pay-per-view package. In addition, ESPN networks will televise an extensive schedule of non-conference SEC action (schedule to be determined).
The SEC Network, ESPN Regional Television’s over-the-air syndication package, will present a minimum of 37 SEC games in 71 television markets nationwide. Also, the SEC Network will present the SEC Studio show each Saturday afternoon through the regular season and the SEC Tournament.
The schedule includes a Saturday Primetime telecast and stop by College GameDay for Kentucky at Vanderbilt (February 11, at 9 p.m. on ESPN). College GameDay is hosted by Rece Davis with analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps, Hubert Davis and Bob Knight.
