Andrew Howard is a politics reporter and author of Morning Score, POLITICO’s campaign-focused newsletter.
Before joining the politics team in 2025, he served as Senior Digital Producer and was a frequent contributor for the breaking news desk throughout the 2024 campaign. Prior to that, he covered state politics in Maine and Arizona.
Howard holds concurrent degrees in journalism and political science from Arizona State University, where he was editor of the campus newspaper, The State Press, and wrote his honors college thesis on mending trust between news organizations and the public.
