Smashing Pumpkins and Erewhon Unite for New "OG Goth" Smoothie

With spooky season officially upon us, Smashing Pumpkins and everyone’s favorite upscale organic grocery store, Erewhon, have come together to launch a new smoothie: the appropriately named “OG Goth.”

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Pumpkins’ famed 1995 double album, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, the band will donate a portion of proceeds from the “OG Goth” to the Concussion Legacy Foundation, a nonprofit focused on supporting athletes, veterans, and others affected by concussions and chronic traumatic encephalopathy, better known as CTE. Frontman Billy Corgan serves on the organization’s national advisory board.

What’s in the “OG Goth” smoothie? It’s a nutrient-rich blend of “MALK Organic Almond Milk, GT’s Alive Cola, Cocoyo Cacao, Eidon Ionic Minerals Liquid Electrolytes, organic coconut water, Erewhon Chocolate Ganache, organic black sesame butter, organic peanut butter, organic banana, organic avocado, organic dates, organic chia, organic maple, organic blue spirulina, organic chlorella, organic cacao powder, organic lucuma, organic beet juice, and organic lion’s mane, for a decadent yet functional take on wellness.” The “OG Goth” smoothie will retail for $19.79 (get it?), and is now exclusively available at all Erewhon locations through November 8th.

Saoirse Ronan Cast as Linda McCartney in Beatles Biopics

The upcoming Beatles biopic has found its Linda McCartney in Saoirse Ronan. The Irish actress will portray Paul McCartney’s first wife, the photographer, musician, and animal rights activist Linda Eastman, in Sam Mendes’ The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event, according to Deadline.

Ronan joins a cast that includes Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon. Aimee Lou Wood is reportedly in talks to play the English model and photographer Patti Boyd, George Harrison’s wife of 11 years.

Each of the Mendes-directed films will tell the story of the band from a different member’s perspective. While Ronan will likely feature prominently in the McCartney installment, it’s currently unknown how much she’ll appear in the other three. The biopic series is set for release in April 2028.

Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson Sings National Anthem at Los Angeles Kings' Home Opener: Watch

Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” ahead of the Los Angeles Kings’ home opener, a 4-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Monday at Crypto Arena.

Clad in his own custom “Dickinson” Kings jersey, the Maiden frontman belted out a fantastic rendition of the National Anthem, just like he did before a Pittsburgh Steelers game back in September. And he once again hit a very Maiden-esque high note for the demanding line, “O’er the land of the free.”

Dickinson recently completed a fall solo tour in support of his latest album The Mandrake Project, hence why he was stateside for the anthem performances. Watch clips of his rendition at the hockey match in Los Angeles below.

Taylor Swift Says She Isn't Bothered by The Life of a Showgirl Reviews: "I'm Not the Art Police"

Taylor Swift’s new album The Life of a Showgirl currently holds a Metacritic rating of 70, based on 22 critic reviews (including one from our own Wren Graves). As it stands, it’s the second-lowest reviewed album of Swift’s career, just behind her 2006 debut (though it’s only a point below reputation at the moment, so the ranking could change). Either way, the consensus (so far) is that The Life of a Showgirl isn’t quite in the same league as some of her more critically acclaimed albums. That said, Swift doesn’t appear too concerned with the early reviews and remains confident that the album will be better appreciated as time goes on.

“I have a lot of respect for people’s subjective opinions on art. I’m not the art police,” Swift said in an interview with Apple Music. It’s like everybody is allowed to feel exactly how they want. And what our goal is as entertainers is to be a mirror.”

“And what I often love seeing my fans say is, ‘I used to be someone who didn’t relate to reputation. And now that I’ve been through some other things in my life, that’s my favorite album.’ Or, ‘I used to be a Fearless girlie, now I’m obsessed with evermore.’ We’re doing this thing for keeps,” Swift added. “I have such an eye on legacy when I’m making my music. I know what I made. I know I adore it, and I know that on the theme of what the Showgirl is, all of this is part of it.”

Kimmel Roasts Trump After Beating Him in Approval Poll: "Lower Than Diddy and Diarrhea"

On the October 6th episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host celebrated the results of a new poll showing he has a higher approval rating than President Donald Trump. The survey, published by The Economist and YouGov, polled 1,656 adult US citizens.

“I am more popular than the president of the United States,” Kimmel said. “You remember the guy who keeps saying I have no ratings? Well, that makes two of us. They polled more than 1,000 people, and I lead Trump by 16 points. I’m at plus three, he’s at minus 13.”

Kimmel then joked that Trump has a “lower approval rating than Diddy and diarrhea” before pivoting to the unreleased Epstein files. “A vast majority say they want to see the Epstein files,” he said. “Trump’s treating these Epstein files like a grumpy old neighbor on Halloween. He turns off all the lights and just hopes the trick-or-treaters will assume there’s nobody home.”
