Geography | |
Country | Kyrgyz Republic |
Ters (Терс) is a mountain in the west of the Kyrgyz Republic, between the Ters and Chatkal rivers.[1] It is 30 kilometres (19 mi) long running roughly south-west to north-east, and between 13 and 15 kilometres (8.1 and 9.3 mi) wide.[1]
The Chaktal side slopes whereas the Ters side is the steeper, with a gorge-like valley.[1] The mountain is mostly crystalline granite, with intrusions of Carboniferous granite-diorite and granite-syenite rock.[1]
It is between 3,000 and 3,300 metres (3,300 and 3,600 yd) high, its highest point being 3,890 metres (4,250 yd).[1] Up to 2,300 metres (7,500 ft) it is covered in field and meadow steppe, meadow and forest bush above that to 2,800 metres (9,200 ft), and above that tall grass meadow and alpine meadow.[1]

Can I interest you in my 100th biography to the Main page in 2025, Siegmund Nimsgern? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:30, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
- Wow--impressive as always. Thanks--and congrats on that milestone! Drmies (talk) 15:32, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you! Not that I wrote them all, just fixed quality enough to make it possible - which is sometimes easy and sometimes no so easy, like for this one. Some went for GA afterwards, and I'm undecided for him. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:39, 22 September 2025 (UTC)

If you could write your two cents here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Eni.Sukthi.Durres#Notice_of_noticeboard_discussion) i'd appreciate it. Amateurish as can be! Oh, and judging from this (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AAdministrators%27_noticeboard%2FIncidents&diff=prev&oldid=1149076304&diffmode=source) i see you two have a story...

Possible sockpuppet?
I've noticed some remarkable similarities between the editing styles, writing styles, and editing topics and pages of 100jan0vski and Football Fanatic.sr. The former was also indefed in June 2025, and the latter first started editing in July 2025 with nearly identical pages, topics, and style of editing. You might want to take a look, given your exemplary track record of handling sockpuppetry cases. Anwegmann (talk) 20:03, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- Flattery will get you anywhere, Anwegmann. But you know I am not a CU anymore, right? Drmies (talk) 21:56, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- Ah, I did not know. Sorry about that! I appreciate the kind words in response, in any case! Anwegmann (talk) 02:19, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
- User:Firefangledfeathers, I think Anwegmann makes a good point (well done, Anwegmann). Since you blocked 100jan, please have a look. Thanks! Drmies (talk) 22:02, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- Anwegmann, I've blocked Football Fanatic.sr indefinitely as a ducky sock. Feel free to ping me if anyone similar pops up again. If you're up for helping with the cleanup, there are some articles/templates that may need WP:G5ing, and I'd be especially suspicious of any file uploads (the logos are all probably fine though).
- Drmies, who do we talk to about making you be a CU again? Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 22:40, 24 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for your collective help. Glad my instincts were right. Anwegmann (talk) 02:19, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
- Firefangledfeathers, that's not going to happen again: my interest in the project is on the slow burner and I'm sure the feeling is mutual. The technicalities are much more interesting to the IP folks who seem to be in charge there, not the knowledge or experience of actual editors--but I appreciate the note. Anwegmann, you were indeed right: well done, and thank you. Drmies (talk) 13:00, 29 September 2025 (UTC)

IP user
Hi Drmies, this IP 93.143.172.227 is from Croatia. He has used various IPs to remove and added content about the Malaysia football league, clubs, players and some of them are from Europe. He has interfered with other people's work. You can see here [1],[2]. JohnDavies9612 (talk) 01:08, 26 September 2025 (UTC)
- The first edit you linked is of a different user (BlackHoleRev7) stating that 93.143.172.227 reverted their "painstaking work", but I can't find any edit by BlackHoleRev7 that was reverted on that page, either directly or indirectly. Which edit was interfering with other people's work?
- The second edit you linked looks like the deletion of some WP:PATENT nonsense. How is this interfering with other people's work?
- I looked through the edits made by this IP and they seem fine (maybe one too many reverts, but someone else said it was not edit warring), is there another IP that made disruptive edits? 『π』BalaM314〘talk〙 02:58, 26 September 2025 (UTC)
- The IP is the same person. He uses different types of IPs with different numbers at the end. They all have the letter 9 in front. This was him before, he was interfering with the work (BlackHoleRev7). See here JohnDavies9612 (talk) 04:07, 26 September 2025 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) JohnDavies9612, you mentioned this on my talk page too, and I'll reiterate what I said there: any user, IP or otherwise, who removes content like
The team will use Teck Hin-KR FC in the 2025/26 A2 Amateur League. A mutual agreement has been reached by the club owners with KR to compete and pursue success. Both parties are committed to ensuring the team is at the highest level in the football hierarchy
, sourced to a Facebook page, is doing good work. Leaving aside the fact that you are assuming someone's gender, saying that 'he has interfered with other people's work' means nothing here: all editors of all pages interfere with other people's work. That's what editing is. If they are doing bad things, report them to an appropriate venue such as AIV or ANI, but from the little I've seen, this IP editor is doing intermediate to good work. Maybe there's more to it, but if so you need to build a case. Girth Summit (blether) 03:15, 26 September 2025 (UTC)- Noted. 👍🏻 JohnDavies9612 (talk) 04:14, 26 September 2025 (UTC)
- JohnDavies9612, sorry I missed all the excitement--I was cutting down a Bradford pear. I just looked over the ANI report and if I were you I'd read that also, or again, and very carefully, since there is some good advice for you in there. Drmies (talk) 12:58, 29 September 2025 (UTC)

Note regarding notice board
I just wanted to let you know that I won’t get involved with Nataliarose123 (talk · contribs) anymore. I couldn’t reply to your comment on the notice board so I just let you know here. I just reverted another one of his/her disruptive edit on another Volleyball page before reading your comment: [3]. Woxic1589 (talk) 16:59, 29 September 2025 (UTC)
- Never mind, Nataliarose123 (talk · contribs) again did the exact same thing: [4]. I’m not gonna revert it back anymore, but a intervention may be needed. Woxic1589 (talk) 17:08, 29 September 2025 (UTC)

Two of your recent edits
In this edit, I reverted what appeared to me a clear copyright violation. You had some edits following the addition of that material. I glanced quickly and it appears you were editing the new material so I think your edits are moot but I'm bringing this to your attention case I'm wrong. S Philbrick(Talk) 17:25, 1 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks--I hadn't noticed it. Drmies (talk) 17:50, 1 October 2025 (UTC)
Million Award?
Hi Drmies: Anna Strong (spy), an article that I wrote in 2014 and of which I am still shown as the top editor by content added, has had over 1 million pageviews. Should I receive a million award for that? I hope you are doing well. I know you are active and just helped out a new editor in a hurry who had posted a request on the military history project talk page. I am entering my third year as a coordinator for the military history project. I had not done any vandalism reviewing or placing of edit notices for a few years until today. I posted a level 1 warning to an IP user's talk page. The IPs first and only edit at the time was a disruptive edit to a topic on the military history project talk page. I reverted the edit. Thanks and best wishes. Donner60 (talk) 06:14, 3 October 2025 (UTC)
- I should have done a little more research into this before asking. I see the article must be GA or above. It is only B class. So I will need to upgrade the article before it is eligible. Donner60 (talk) 10:09, 5 October 2025 (UTC)
This was deprodded by an IP user. I have no skin in the game, but we've been so assiduously busy with proposals and nominations for deletions that the system has become overwhelmed. Can you revisit this in another week? In other words, please hold off for a week before going to WP:AfD. Thanks. Bearian (talk) 09:26, 3 October 2025 (UTC)
SoCal Olympians IP
(Replying here because it doesn’t directly concern the IP.) I did see the rant from the IP, but I (for whatever reason) felt like attempting some degree of defusal. Do I think they have a high likelihood of becoming a productive editor? No, not particularly (though it’s not impossible). That being said, they were clearly having a deeply frustrating experience and even if they aren't going to edit in the future, it's the least I can do to offer some perspective and hopefully alleviate some of that frustration. My story today is about a mezzo as a thinking person, DYK? (The nomination wasn't by me, which probably helped to a short review.) - Look at the video if you have a few minutes. I never saw her on stage, but (in 2022) the last Carmen production at the Bastille Opéra that she was in, - see music. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:20, 6 October 2025 (UTC)
Happy birthday, Margaret Medlyn! (I found the article - not by me - when searching for someone whose birthday is today.) - I took a cat pic, presented by Rosiestep today. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:45, 7 October 2025 (UTC)

AFDs
Hello, Drmies,
Is there a reason why you are closing AFDs hours ahead of schedule? Unless they are relisted discussions, they are usually left open for 7 full days before closing unless it is a SNOW situation which usually involves dozens of participants "voting" for the same outcome which is not the case here. Just thought I'd check. Thank you for your help in AFDLand. Liz Read! Talk! 22:08, 8 October 2025 (UTC)
