Wikipedia:Insignificant

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Significance is in the eye of the beholder. Some people think this speck is pretty significant. Others may view it as a minor point of a much more significant topic. They are both wrong. The question is: Is it notable and can it be verified?

Sometimes when confronted with "trivial details" it may be tempting to just say, "well, gosh, that's just insignificant." But remember: What is insignificant to some may be extremely significant to others, and vice versa.

That debate misses the point entirely. What is important is notability and verifiability, the bedrock principles that ground Wikipedia articles.
