Wikiversity talk:Request custodian action
Add topicI deprecated this category, and Template:Delete My Page because "own page deletion" is routinely handled by the ordinary deletion template, giving the reason "author request." There is no need for a special template or category. The Template:Delete My Page required editing Wikiversity:Please delete my page, a totally unnecessary complication.
I also edited that Wikiversity page to provide instructions on deleting your pages. The page had been used only very rarely, adding no value over a simple request through a deletion template.
We have become very efficient at cleaning up the various deletion categories. Own page deletion can sometimes be controversial, as can any speedy deletion reason. I see no need for a separate category.
I am asking here before removing Own Page Deletion from the action box displayed on WV:RCA. --Abd (discuss • contribs) 03:07, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
- Seems reasonable to me. I have put my own pages up for deletion but I'd never heard of these before. --Marshallsumter (discuss • contribs) 18:28, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
