The following is an abridged version of the Gallipoli Diary from Major
Fred Waite DSO, The New Zealanders at Gallipoli (1919), which was
the standard account for over 60 years. It continues to provide a useful
chronology and indeed was republished in Christopher Pugsley's definitive
history Gallipoli: The New Zealand Story (1984).
