He is also known for his role as Lucian in the Underworld film series.

Michael Sheen was born in Newport, when he was five, the family moved to Liverpool, where as a winger he became a lifelong Liverpool F.C. fan by watching the side of the 1970's. Three years later, the family returned to his parents home of Port Talbot,  and Sheen was offered a trial at Arsenal FC after being spotted by the father of Tony Adams during a family holiday but chose to pursue an acting career instead. He became interested in the theatre through both school study and parents being members of the local amateur dramatic group. After leaving school Sheen accepted a place to study acting at the National Youth Theatre of Wales in Cardiff, and then trained at the internationally renowned Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

During his second year at RADA he scored his first starring role, opposite Vanessa Redgrave in When She Danced. Sheen soon established himself as one of the most promising talents on the theatrical scene, notably being cast as Mozart in Peter Shaffer's play Amadeus and later reprised this role on Broadway.

His screen appearances include the BBC drama serial, Gallowglass, however, he remained primarily a stage actor, having starred in high-profile productions of Henry V, Caligula and Look Back in Anger, among others.

In 2003, he appeared with Kate Beckinsale in the gothic action film Underworld as the werewolf Lucian. He has become well-known for playing real-life characters. He played Tony Blair in the Channel 4 drama The Deal and later, in the film The Queen. He has also played Kenneth Williams in Fantabulosa!, H G Wells in H G Wells: War with the World and in 2006, he played Nero in the BBC's Ancient Rome series.

At the 2005 British Academy Television Awards, Sheen was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in the TV drama, Dirty Filthy Love, in which he played a man with obsessive-compulsive disorder. In 2007, he received two BAFTA nominations, this time for Best Supporting Actor in a Film, for his performance in The Queen, and for Best Television Actor, for his role in Fantabulosa.

In January 2009, he returned to the role of Lucian in Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, the third release in the Underworld film series and prequel to the original 2003 film.

Sheen and English actress Kate Beckinsale have a daughter, Lily Mo, he now splits his time between United Kingdom and Los Angeles co-parenting their daughter. Sheen was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2009 New Year Honours.

The dedication and drive shown by the team at Talk…Don’t Walk is fantastic. The work they undertake is extremely important, and directly helps to reduce the number of young people running away. I’m proud to be the patron and I’m delighted Blah Blah PR approached me on behalf of Talk…Don’t Walk.

Helen Flanagan

Helen Daniella Flanagan, born on 12 December 1989, is an English actress known for playing the role of Rosie Webster in Coronation Street: a role she has played since January 2000. At the the 2006 British Soap Awards, Flanagan was nominated for the Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor or Actress. Flanagan was born in Bolton, England. She has a brother named Thomas and two sisters, Jessica and Jayne and a cousin called Claire.

At the age of five, Helen began taking drama lessons at Carol Godby's theatre workshop in Bury, and attended Thornleigh Salesian College in Bolton, Lancashire, before moving to Westholme School, an all-girls private school in Blackburn, Lancashire. Helen has completed her GCSE examinations and received good results, most notably an A* in Drama.

Helen became involved as an ambassador in June 2006 in raising awareness of young runaways after her storyline in Coronation Street followed a similar path.

I have a great relationship with my mum and can talk to her about most things, but I know I am really lucky. My character, Rosie doesn’t have such a relationship and it is great that the Talk..Don’t Walk project doesn’t just help the runaway but works with the whole family to try to help them sort out their problems. If you or you know someone who is thinking about running away and they don’t have anyone to talk to, they should call Talk..Don’t Walk’s helpline or visit their website. There are lots of things that can go wrong if you run away from home.

Jessica Fox

Jessica's career started at the age of eight when she starred in an epic Persil commercial filmed in Indiana Jones style, in Spain. She then went on to feature in West End roles in the Sound of Music, Les Miserables, and Oliver!

She then went on to play the 'naughty but nice' Enid Nightshade in three series of the much loved The Worst Witch (1998) and the slightly naughtier Enid in the spinoff Weirdsister College (2001). Co-starring with Sarah Lancashire, Jessica showed that she had the undoubted talent to handle the more demanding and dramatic role of Rusty Dickinson in Back Home (2001) for which she received very good reviews from the critics and held her own in the company of acclaimed actresses such as Rosemary Leach and the wonderful Stephanie Cole.

Since then, Jessica has moved into soapland playing Belle Wise in Crossroads (2001) appearing on our TVs five nights a week, then came guest leads in TV programs such as "Powers" (2004) and some Theatre, before moving to Hollyoaks in 2005 to play Nancy Hayton.

Jessica became involved with us in March 2008, after opening Halton Women’s Centre, that is managed by the charity and continues to support us in a variety of ways.

The female cast of Hollyoaks were pleased to be involved in the opening of the dedicated Women’s Centre that will help women to address many of the issues that are covered within our storylines, such as Domestic Violence, Teenage Pregnancy and Eating Disorders to name but a few, to have such help under one roof is a great idea.
