Civilian Oversight 101
With the increased interest in civilian oversight and cities across the country looking to implement civilian oversight, NACOLE has put together a program to share information on civilian oversight of law enforcement. The original training was conducted virtually and included basic information on what civilian oversight is, the different models, its guiding principles, the benefits of its implementation, and more. Although this training session is offered live throughout the year, the following recording is an excellent way to get information on civilian oversight immediately. This training is geared towards community members looking to estabish oversight and those already involved in oversight that would like to learn more.
