Disney/Marvel’s ceiling-shattering blockbuster Black Panther topped this year’s African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) Awards with a total of three wins including Best Film and a Best Director win for Ryan Coogler.
John David Washington nabbed the Best Actor award for his performances in the Spike Lee-directed film, BlacKkKlansman, which also won Best Screenplay. The group voted Regina Hall as Best Actress for her role in Support the Girls, while Regina King and Russell Hornsby picked up supporting acting honors for If Beale Street Could Talk and The Hate U Give, respectively.
The organization also revealed its top ten films of 2018 with Black Panther, A Star Is Born, Roma, and The Favourite among the list

Anyway , you do know that the SAG membership of black actors is in excess of the percentage of the black population in the US..you would have a tough time finding that out from our “free press” . Just check with SAG !

Question: what is the percentage of black SAG members ( hint , higher than the percentage of the Us population that is black) So why do we need a “Black” organization, sounds racist to me

This one is a shocker to me.
Anyone else think they might have been a just a bitttt biased in their decision to name Black Panther the “Best Film”? I’m willing to bet that anyone who actually saw this movie can easily name another movie that they saw this year that was better.
Oh wait! Can’t say that! I guess I’ll await my online shaming by the court of public opinion since mine isn’t “acceptable”. Don’t feel like you have to go easy on me either guys, it’s not my first rodeo in sharing what I honestly think and being criticized for it.
Well, that took a turn down a dark road. There is help out there if you have the strength to seek it.
