Wikimedia Commons has media related to Media missing permission.

This is a maintenance category, used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project. It is not part of the encyclopedia and contains non-article pages, or groups articles by status rather than subject. Do not include this category in content categories (except for eponymous maintenance categories).

This category is not shown on its member pages unless the appropriate user preference (Appearance → Show hidden categories) is set.

Files in this category are missing evidence of permission. Many of them may be unfree files. Files that have been in this category for more than seven days (currently anything before 5 October 2025) may be speedy deleted in accordance with either the "No evidence of permission" (F11) as referenced in the speedy deletion criteria for files.

To tag an image that has no copyright information, use

or simply

{{subst:npd}}

which will put the image in Category:Wikipedia files missing permission as of 12 October 2025. (If the category doesn't exist yet, please create it.)

When tagging a problem image, consider notifying the uploader. You can add

to the uploader's talk page.
