Wrong Turn

[edit]

While not an "Enchanted Forest" in the usual sense of the word, the Wrong Turn franchise does take place mostly in heavily forested areas with people being attacked by murderous cults and cannibalistic mutants.

Perhaps an updated or modernized version of the Enchanted Forest legend? 118.148.93.18 (talk) 02:19, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Inhabitants/Modern Fantasy

[edit]

The "Known inhabitants and traits" and "Modern fantasy" sections are fairly large, entirely unsourced, and seem to have been added over the past few years by either a small number of anonymous editors or by a single anonymous editor. The former opens with a largely unorganized list of "inhabitants" that seem mainly to consist of a mixture of mythical and modern fantasy creatures before seguing into unsupported claims of what these forests are like, while the latter is just an overlong series of (also unsourced) entries about forests in popular fiction.

Are these worth keeping? If material from reputable sources can be found that discuss the traits of "magical forests" in a general sense would be worth mentioning (some of the texts in "Further reading" seem like they'd be worth adding), although the actual material would need likely significant rewriting.
