Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol

[edit]

Why is Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol in the "Regions" section table twice? Criticalthinker (talk) 04:24, 15 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I see it once... are you talking about the HDI column? Simoncik84 (talk) 08:23, 15 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
When you do any kind of sorting of the columns, it splits the "Region" column for that region into two. I'm not sure why there is a special case made for the province in the HDI column, at all, since the focus of this article is regions and not provinces, and particularly since the HDI difference is so small as to not be relevant even to note, let alone in the table. Criticalthinker (talk) 09:25, 15 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This is probably due to the fact that Trentino-Alto Adige is the only region in Italy made up of two autonomous provinces: Trento and Bolzano. In fact, these two provinces function almost like separate regions. According to Italian legislation, they are always mentioned separately, in addition to the other 19 regions.
