About Me
[edit]Hello! I am a new Wikipedia editor with interests in historic preservation, New Orleans history, U.S. military history, and Southern American history broadly. I consider myself an advocate for historic preservation. By day I am an attorney, and can see myself contributing to relevant legal articles, especially those focusing on legal history.
Editing Interests
[edit]- Creating and improving pages related to New Orleans architecture, civic institutions, and notable figures.
- Expanding coverage of Louisiana military history.
- Currently working on a new article draft about Draft:Allison Owen, which is out for review at Articles for Creation.
- Currently beginning a new article on New Orleans architect Charles Colbert (1911–2007), a leading figure in mid-century modernism.
- Improving substantially the entry for Paul M. Hebert, the longest-tenured LSU Law Dean and a judge in the IG Farben Trial.
- Improving citations, sourcing, and formatting for Civil War and World War I topics.
Research Background
[edit]Much of my editing is supported by primary-source and archival research, including:
- Collections at Jackson Barracks Military Museum
- Tulane University archives
- New Orleans Public Library holdings
- Newspaper archives and military records
Professional Background
[edit]I am an attorney in Washington, D.C., and a graduate of Tulane University Law School. I am hoping to gain more legal exposure in areas like technology law and historic preservation.
