IAGS
[edit]In case you didn't notice the media attention on the IAGS, you might want to double-check International Association of Genocide Scholars and keep an eye on it. I think it's in a reasonable state right now. Boud (talk) 10:27, 5 September 2025 (UTC)

Hi, Buidhe! Could you please elaborate on what precisely are your issues with the new lead version? It would be good if we could collaborate to improve it and implement it! :) Justthefacts (talk) 14:32, 21 September 2025 (UTC)
- There's already 2 sections on the talk page about this. (t · c) buidhe 16:34, 21 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Buidhe: Could we edit a draft together? It would be easier to understand each other that way! :) --Justthefacts (talk) 17:56, 21 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Buidhe: See Talk:Conversion therapy/Lead for the draft of the new lead version. :) --Justthefacts (talk) 20:38, 21 September 2025 (UTC)
- If you fixed the issues pointed out to you in the talk page discussion, then we might have a basis for starting a broader discussion. however I don't see any places where your lead significantly improves over the older version. (t · c) buidhe 20:40, 21 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Buidhe: Your collaboration would help in that regard! The new lead version is much more reflective of the strong scientific consensus against conversion therapy and also the strong scientific consensus that being lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender are all positive and normal variations of human sexuality and gender! :) --Justthefacts (talk) 20:51, 21 September 2025 (UTC)
- the old lead version also reflects these facts. (t · c) buidhe 20:56, 21 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Buidhe: Not nearly as strongly as the new lead version! Would you please edit the draft to address your concerns? :) --Justthefacts (talk) 20:57, 21 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Buidhe: This offer of collaboration is to Wikipedia:Assume good faith and follow the Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. :) --Justthefacts (talk) 22:48, 21 September 2025 (UTC)

DYK for Prison abolition
[edit]On 28 September 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Prison abolition, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that prison abolition is not embraced by most human rights organizations, despite similar evidence for harm as from recognized forms of cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Prison abolition. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Prison abolition), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

Balin Miller, RIP
[edit]Thank you for starting Balin's BLP so recently and now for helping record the sad facts of his untimely death. I did not know him, but my kids in Alaska did; my son is in the Anchorage climbing community. YoPienso (talk) 19:49, 2 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for mentioning me. I'm not handy with Wikipedia references, so please feel free to tweak them as needed. (I'm a manual Chicago-style footnoter.) YoPienso (talk) 22:42, 2 October 2025 (UTC)
