ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:14, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

1914 Stanley Cup Final

[edit]

Hello there! I just reading up a little about the Stanley Cup and, as someone who is not an expert (I'm very much a baseball nut), I thought I'd let someone else handle it. I may be wrong but I've seen you around ice hockey articles and whatnot so I came here to you.

In the article List of Stanley Cup champions, the 1914 Stanley Cup Finals should be the first official, sanctioned tournament - as the article on the Finals says. However, it is listed incorrectly as being part of the Challenger era. Shouldn't it be in the second section? Omnis Scientia (talk) 14:18, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Joyce Carol Oates short fiction bibliography, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Columbia Magazine. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:55, 4 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Research Project, University of Colorado Boulder, USA

[edit]

I'm a researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder working on a project about how Wikipedia’s design features—like links and talk pages—shape how history is remembered across different languages. We’re especially focused on the Arab Spring articles in English and Arabic. More info here: https://columnlab.github.io/projects/wikiAffordancePerception/

Since you've made important contributions to the Arab Spring article, I’d be incredibly grateful if you could take a quick survey about your experience editing it. It’s just 10 questions and takes about 10 minutes. Survey link: https://cuboulder.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5tlLObfgSGPJMjA

All responses are anonymous, and no identifying information will be published or shared.

If you're open to a short follow-up interview, I’d love to hear more about your perspective. You can respond here, on my user talk page, or let me know in the survey.

Thanks so much for your time and for your contributions to Wikipedia! Very best! Hlauriejones (talk) 20:05, 2 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
