X-treme Close Up features the history, facts and stories of American hard rock band Kiss, up to the time of filming in 1992.[1] The video features vintage concert footage, interviews and videos from the early beginnings in the early 1970s to the early 1990s. It was released on July 14, 1992. It was certified Platinum in the US.[2]
Critical reception
[edit]AllMusic said X-treme Close-Up is "a much better compilation" than Exposed since it doesn't contain "unfunny skits". They also remarked that: "Every era of the band is touched upon [...] which makes X-Treme Close-Up a very consistent viewing experience, unlike Exposed."[3]
