âSaturday Night Liveâ returned with Kate McKinnon playing Rudy Giuliani as he tried to overturn the election results.
The opening sketch of the NBC variety show had McKinnonâs Giuliani at a hearing in Michigan, presenting witnesses with testimony regarding allegations of voter fraud.
âThis election was stolen from the American people with a level of trickery not seen since Houdini,â McKinnonâs Giuliani said while farting. âThat wasnât me. That was you guys.â
McKinnonâs Giuliani said that he and President Trump would overturn the results first in Michigan, then in âGeorgiavaniaâ and âNorth-a-Canada.â
âYou want evidence? Okay, well, today I brought before you a dozen highly intelligent, barely intoxicated individuals who are all eye witnesses,â McKinnonâs Giuliani said.
The first witness was Cecily Strong playing Melissa Carone, an IT contractor for Dominion Voting Systems, who spoke with Giuliani at a hearing in Michigan and drew audible laughter.
âI swear to tell my whole story, and nothing but my story so help me God,â Strongâs Carone said.
Strongâs Carone then told the panel in the hearing to lose their attitude âjust like you âlostâ all those Trump ballotsâ and said that she personally saw hundreds, if not thousands, of dead people voting.
âDid you check every poll? Did you talk to all the dead people?â Strongâs Carone asked the Michigan state senators. âIâm not lying. I signed an After David.â
Other witnesses included a woman who âate ballots,â a man who was abducted by aliens, Michael J. Lindell â the CEO of My Pillow, and Chloe Fineman, who was playing Nicole Kidmanâs character from HBOâs âThe Undoing.â
Strong then returned as Carone to say that Dominion cheated her out of her cheesy bread.
âI think youâre confusing Dominion with Dominos,â one of the state senators told her.
âEither way, my vote took longer than 30 minutes so itâs supposed to be free,â Strongâs Carone said.
Finally, McKinnonâs Giuliani said he would not give up the fight to overturn the election.
âIn conclusion, I would say the defense rests, but we will never rest. Not until this election is overturned, or I get a full pardon and $10 million in cash,â McKinnonâs Giuliani said. âAnd if you liked what you saw here today, weâre giving a press conference right after this at the Ritz-Carlton⦠Plumbing and Heating Supply Company.â
McKinnon then said the showâs signature sign on: âLive⦠From New York! Itâs Saturday night!â
Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that this week's "Saturday Night Live" was the first since the election. It was the second new episode.
