Abia Governor Otti Assures Nnamdi Kanu Will Soon Regain Freedom

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has expressed confidence that the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, will soon be released.
Speaking on Friday during President Bola Tinubu’s official visit to the state — represented by the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi — Otti said ongoing engagements with the presidency were yielding positive signs.
“I can assure you that I am engaging with Mr President. He is favourably disposed to it, and I am sure that in no distant future, Nnamdi Kanu will regain his freedom,” Otti stated.
He emphasized his long-standing friendship with Tinubu, describing him as a man who keeps his word.
Also speaking, Umahi urged South-East residents to remain peaceful and united while assuring that regional leaders, governors, lawmakers, and ministers were working together to pursue a political solution to Kanu’s case.
