Request to balance tone in Criticism section

[edit]

Hi everyone, I’d like to suggest a more balanced presentation in the “Criticism” section. The article currently highlights negative commentary (e.g., “cherry-picking,” doomsday tone), but omits peer-reviewed support and endorsements from medical and academic institutions aligned with Dr. Greger's approach.

Notably:

Dr. Greger’s work is in line with guidance from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) and Kaiser Permanente, both of which advocate for whole-food, plant-based diets.

NutritionFacts.org is non-commercial, fully transparent with sourcing, and cites thousands of peer-reviewed studies.

Greger’s books, including How Not to Die and How Not to Diet, have received significant public and medical attention, including endorsements from physicians in lifestyle medicine and public health.

Suggested addition:

> Supporters of Greger note that his books are extensively referenced with peer-reviewed literature and are aligned with recommendations from institutions such as the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and Kaiser Permanente. His educational platform, NutritionFacts.org, is a non-commercial, evidence-based resource that curates current nutrition research. 83.216.141.52 (talk) 05:17, 19 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not done no source(s) provided. And there is no "Criticism" section anyway. Bon courage (talk) 05:33, 19 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal of NutritionFacts into Michael Greger

[edit]

The sources in cited in NutritionFacts do not provide coverage that satisfies the requirements of WP:SIRS in terms of depth or independence. The paper is from a Frontiers Media journal. The organization is not independently notable from Michael Greger, and therefore should be merged there as an alternative to deletion. There have been multiple independent attempts to blank and redirect NutritionFacts to Michael Greger [1][2][3], all of which have been reverted by one user [4][5][6].

From my check, [7], [8], and [9] appear to be the only articles that actually mention the organization, and are reliable and independent. Of these, one is a pretty plainly trivial mention, one focuses on dr. Gregor, and one gives actual significant coverage. As such, I support a merge. 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) 15:02, 19 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
