DYK for Jeffrey Epstein client list
[edit]On 17 September 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Jeffrey Epstein client list, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Jeffrey Epstein's contact list has been published three times, but the existence of a separate client list is a matter of controversy? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Jeffrey Epstein client list. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Jeffrey Epstein client list), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

Assistance regarding future of AfC draft
[edit]Hello Ca, thank you for taking the time to review my draft article for creation! I appreciate the feedback, however I had a few questions. You suggested sourcing coverage regarding the successor club, CJRC, which thank you for taking the time to actually look into that. Given the unique situation in which the club the article was written about was pulled into the new aggregate club, and all further coverage of MRC's achievements will be put under the CJRC name, it would be okay to use sources discussing CJRC to cite topics in the article? Also, aside from the difficulty finding mentions on the club, the rest of the article is okay? Unfortunately the WP:Rowing is of little aide, as it's incredibly small and the majority of signed up users are either not active on the project page or inactive entirely. When I was researching how articles on rowing teams were written the majority of the clubs are of little notoriety and their pages themselves are incredibly short with few citations. For example a notable team in youth rowing Oakland Strokes (this page has had some vandalism, just fixed the short desc) has a very short page with a lot of uncited writing. This page is on the longer end for published rowing club pages, too. How do pages like these get accepted, or where they just made on the main space without going through AfC? Also, one last question, someone on your talk page mentioned mentorship on Wikipedia, how can I learn more about get mentored on here? Thanks again, Pixzzl. Pixzzl (talk) 05:41, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
- Just a quick follow up, how many references do you suggest adding before I consider resubmitting the draft? Pixzzl (talk) 13:02, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
- Many such poor-quality, short articles were created in the early days of Wikipedia, a time where the community prioritized sheer article creation over quality and proper sourcing. The AfC process did not exist back then. The Oakland Strokes article (thanks for fixing vandalism!) were created in 2007.
- The number of sources is not really important. Two can suffice if each give a reliable, independent and extremely detailed account of the rowing club. The inclusion criteria was established so that articles have a potential for expansion beyond a stub (i.e. there are enough to write about that can verified to the cited sources). I am not sure if CJRC itself will meet the inclusion criteria guidelines, but I think if you pool coverage about both clubs into one article, there will be enough write a fully-fledged, verifiable article. Currently, while your draft is quite lengthy and detailed, most of the sentences lack a citation to verify their claims. That is the emergent issue that arises when the topic itself lacks coverage from sources.
- Newspapers.com appears to have promising search results but unfortunately I do not have the subcription to access it. Feel free to resource request at WP:RX, however. I did locate more hits in Google News as well: [1] South+Jersey+Rowing+Club%22&hl=en-US&gl=US&ceid=US:en. Some of them seem non-independent however, having been written by the teams' respective publicists.
- I also found some book sources for SJRC on Internet Archive.
- If you cannot find any more sources, your work doesn't have to be wasted though! You can merge the contents of the article to related articles, and the USRowing Youth National Championships draft you are working on, and the title will be redirected to the article with the most content on CJRC.
- Regarding mentorship, you can see who your mentor is at Special:Homepage.
- Please let me know if you have any more questions or help! Ca talk to me! 14:05, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you so much. This reply is incredibly helpful and I will continue working to find sources and improve my drafts. Pooling together the MRC and CJRC pages might be the best solution, and I could go on to include SJRC in there as well. I'm certain coverage will improve on CJRC, likely during the Head of the Charles regatta and in the spring during Youth Nationals.
- Again, thanks for all the help! Pixzzl (talk) 15:58, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
request for clarification regarding the deletion of a draft
[edit]Hi, please explain why you considered my entry "not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia"? I think it is much more valuable than other existing entries on similar topics, such as: - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smallpdf.com - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pdfvue - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PDFescape - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zamzar and much more...
That seems unfair. Mattboot86 (talk) 06:00, 22 September 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing out those problematic articles. I will be taking a look at them and nominate them for deletion as necessary, as I have already done with PDFvue. Ca talk to me! 07:19, 22 September 2025 (UTC)

Sorry about my weird edit to your amazing article!
[edit]I have no good excuse for bulking up your recent GA with unneeded detail and sloppy typos, but I figured I'd at least let you know I will not do it again! I was idly reading about the topic on and off for a while today while partially occupied with something else, and what started as a tiny edit turned into a messy info dump. I switched tabs, kinda forgot how bad it was, and later had to leave the computer in a hurry with a few people watching — and proceeded to press publish without proofreading. Famously a thing one should not do! Anyway, I apologize for the trouble and appreciate all you do here. Crunchydillpickle🥒 (talk) 09:41, 1 October 2025 (UTC)
