Hellifield Peel Castle
[edit]Hi Warofdreams. Thanks for creating Hellifield Peel Castle. Apart from the Grand Designs sources, everyone else seems to call it Hellifield Peel. I wonder if they added “castle” in case their audience didn’t recognise the word “peel”. A peel isn’t a castle, and vice versa. Would you have any objection to me (or you) renaming it? --Northernhenge (talk) 15:26, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Northernhenge no objections at all, to be honest I can't remember why I picked that title in the first place and the rename makes perfect sense. Warofdreams talk 15:51, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. Page moved! --Northernhenge (talk) 16:42, 10 July 2025 (UTC)

RDWC
[edit]Hey! Hope you are doing well. I saw you reverted that change to the name of the RDWC article. Looks like the talk page still needs to be reverted too when you have a chance. That editor appeared out of nowhere and has been barreling through, they deleted the talk page notice I shared. Echoedmyron (talk) 22:16, 25 August 2025 (UTC)
- I'm good, thanks, hope you are too! I hadn't spotted that I hadn't moved the talk page, thanks for letting me know, I've now fixed that. I'm hoping that the editor was acting in good faith and just incorrectly assumed it should have be a counterpart to the Men's Roller Derby World Cup article, shame they didn't discuss first. It does remind me that at some point I should write an article on the JRDA World Cup, should be plenty of sources now. Warofdreams talk 22:28, 25 August 2025 (UTC)

UK by-election records article
[edit]Hey. I'm copy and pasting this message to regular editors of the UK by-election records article, more in slight bemused shock than anything else. I've just recieved a brand new, freshly published book from Iain Dale, "British by-elections 1769-2025". His preface and the reference tables are blatant lifts and copies of the by-election records article. It's clearly an obvious lift! We could retcon the citations it's that obvious! Must have made the right impression with all the hard work we put into the page. Speak soon doktorb wordsdeeds 22:07, 9 September 2025 (UTC)
- It's nice to see that the information is proving useful but a shame it's not been referenced as a source! Looking at Dale's lengthy bibliography, perhaps it's unsurprising that he isn't fully researching this himself. Will just have to ensure that nobody uses Dale's book as a reference for our article.
