- Agree to use the IP addresses in accordance with the Foundation's guidelines, solely for the investigation or prevention of vandalism, abuse, or other violations of Wikimedia Foundation or community policies, and understand the risks and responsibilities associated with this privilege
The above requirements are from the Wikimedia Foundation, and are not subject to admin discretion. Additionally, admins must be satisfied that the requesting user has a demonstrated need for access (for example, work at new page patrol, counter-vandalism, or sockpuppet investigations), and are permitted to decline applicants who meet these criteria but are otherwise unsuitable for access to this tool.
Once you have been granted the permission, you must check the box Preferences → User profile →

I am a rollbacker and an almost daily recent changes patroller, though I am not very active at the moment due to workload. I have also reported several SPI cases to the administrators, so I believe that should be enough to qualify for the granting. - Arcrev1 (talk) 05:15, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
