The annual WFA LATAM Regional Meeting will be hosted by the Uruguayan Advertisers Association (CAU) and run from 30 September to October 1. It will bring together the region’s most senior marketing and policy leads as well as Advertiser Associations from ten countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The first day of the meeting will focus on marketing and media priorities, with day two devoted to policy issues and the marketing industry’s efforts to future proof its long-term license to operate.

Speakers on day one include senior leaders from Grupo Bimbo, LATAM Airlines, Telefónica, Globant, AB InBev, Diageo, Danone, Firm Decisions and BrandTech Group, addressing a range of topics including The Marketer of the Future, marketing transformation, marketing efficiency, transparency and AI.

Day two will look at the big policy questions faced by brands across the region, including self-regulation in the fields of food and alcohol marketing, green claims, AI and how advertiser associations can optimise their working relationships with online platforms.

Places for both days are going fast. The event is free to WFA members but space at the Montevideo Hilton is limited. Contact Amparo Gomez if you still haven’t reserved your place.

This year’s event in Montevideo is the 23rd edition of the WFA’s regional get-together and follows successful gatherings most recently in Buenos Aires (2024) and Bogota (2023).
