Edits I've Recently Made

[edit]

Hello Danilo, I was wondering if you could have a look at some of my recent edits on these two articles: List of Emmerdale characters introduced in 2025 and List of Hollyoaks characters introduced in 2025. In the former, I created a section for DC Cole, but I'm unsure if it fits with the standards of an article section. In the latter, I've added sections and linked the main articles for all the upcoming Brookside characters who are going to appear in the upcoming crossover episode. Do you think that was the right thing to do? Thank you. EmmerdaleFan2001 (talk) 17:18, 4 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, well done for your expansions! I think they fit in with the pages. One thing is that storylines should be in present tense (e.g. "He tells Nate's family that...") etc. Do you need any other help? DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 19:16, 4 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much! Regarding other help. I'm unsure whether I should create sections for characters such as Miles Silverton, Alison Hale and Dee Dee's date, Ollie. Also, I'm unsure of why the anchors are broken for Miles and Alison when they usually redirect to that part of the table. Furthermore, I hope to create a section about DI Costello on the 2024 page but I'm unsure if enough information has been published regarding his character. Asking again

[edit]

Hi! I've asked you before (in May, I think), now I'm asking again: would you very kindly stop doing this? You're just making extra work – it takes (a little) longer to work out what you've done and why than it would have to evaluate and act on the G6 tag correctly placed by the page creator. Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:12, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I hope you are doing well. I do think the message is a little unfair: since you've asked me I have just redirected more redirects to other redirects or done round move so I have been tagging less. However, in the case above, where was I meant to redirect it? I'm not an admin so I cannot delete the page, so I moved it and tagged it so at least I could do one part of the job as page mover. I also explained in my edit summary that it was created for a requested move. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 12:14, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
OK, clearly I'm failing to communicate. My message is – in plain terms – this: if you can't move a page without leaving a mess for others to clear up, please just don't move the page. That particular page was correctly tagged for speedy deletion as WP:G6 by an experienced editor who'd surely have been capable of making the move once the redirect was gone. It's not clear to me why you felt you needed to step in? No great harm is done, but for an admin it's more straightforward to review and (if appropriate) act on a G6 like that (thus assuming responsibility for ensuring that the page is actually moved) than it is to start investigating who moved what to where, and when and why. This is a small request, it'd be nice if you could accept it. And yes, I hope that you also are keeping well! Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:21, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

PMC(talk) 00:07, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there.... I hope everything is alright with your family!

You won't find anything official in writing, but the bottom line is that male partners are rare in figure skating and ice dance, so the larger age range allows for more opportunities for junior-level girls to compete. At least they've reined in the ages a bit. For a while, we had 23-year-old men competing in junior-level competitions and it was really off-putting.

I don't know if there is a GA competition coming up, but I was going to suggest that you could probably beef up your numbers pretty easily with these JGP competitions. The articles are very similar; you could hammer out a bunch in rapid succession. I'm going to work on getting the rest of them up to snuff. Bgsu98 (Talk) 13:57, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Green's 9th Edit-a-thon

[edit]

Hello DaniloDaysOfOurLives:

WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Editathon event in October 2025!

Running from October 1 to 31, 2025, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) editathon event with the theme What Women Do! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 different occupations or professions (or broader roles in society) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

We hope to see you there!
